The importance of Arminia Bielefeld’s visit cannot be underestimated. A victory will provide Hannover was needed breathing space from the bottom of the table before the break. Failure to do so will firmly plant a bulls-eye on Dieter Hecking’s side by the bottom three.

This match is full of statistical points. While Arminia haven’t won a match away from home since August 2007, Hannover have not defeated the Bielefeld visitors at home in over thirty-five years.

Arminia is a tougher than you expect squad regardless of their thirteen point total. In their last five matches they have held Dortmund and Stuttgart to scoreless draws while sending Leverkusen a 2-1 defeat that could cost them the title. They must be given complete respect with a firm understanding they will place a priority on defending and then destroy your hopes on the counter.

Bielefeld coach Michael Frontzeck will be pleased to see the break as his side is troubled with many injuries and go into the final autumn match without Rowen Fernandez, Leonidas Kampantais, Radim Kucera, Berat Sadik and Thilo Versick with Nico Herzig in doubt.

Our faith is Morten Jensen is unwavering and we must stand strong behind our young ‘keeper. This is a great test but one we can get back and head to the break on a up note. Although not completely fit Christian Schulz and Steven Cherundolo will likely stand up and be counted for the match although Michael Tarnat will be decided moments before the start. Mike Hanke will need to be at his most cunning as opportunities are likely to be rare. It will take aggression and readiness to prevail today but we have the strength to gain three points today!
